In the beginning,Marion counted something her face emerged worried and not knowing what to do simultaneously.Then she ripped out the paper and infused into the chamber pot.The non-diegetic sound of this scene is violin when she was writing but it changed to the flushing sound when she rinsed.It can make audience more participated in the movie.
There had a shadow that using the shot to focus on the shadow and Marion faded away.At first,it did not have any music had a water sound only.When the killer murder her the music became nervous and most of the people would startled.Additional,Marion shrieked that you can knew she was scared.At that time,the movie cannot be exposed and violent so they chose to use the out focus that can let audience know the process .It can in keeping with the standard also.Took the blood was a way to let people know how serious of Marion hurt.Then they just took the back of the killer it can had a tactics to let the people continue to watch.
