Homework Task
The topic of my poster is ‘Kill’. In my poster, I try to use post modernism design. When we talk about the art of post modernism, we need to mention pop art and Marcel Duchamp. Duchamp was a French-American painter. He was one of the most impressive artists in art. While chanting modernism, Dada Art specifically advocates the “emptiness” of modernity and the “war and destruction of humanity” brought about by the protest against modernity. There are four factors in influence of pop art on postmodern art: breaking the distinction between exquisite art and popular art, enter the artistic life, no deepening of artistic creation and commercialization and marketization of artistic creation. In the poster, I want to show the real. I want to show and tell to the people about die and kill.
The value of connecting I: Personal Happiness
Some people think that money and income are the important things for their life, which can make us happy, joyful and cheerful. But some of the people do not agree at all. They think that connection is the most signification in out life. In my personal opinion, I agree with the second one. Although money can buy lots of things which is material benefits, it cannot buy relationship, healthy, freedom etc. In the book, there are research show that people are not really care about money and their income are more happier than the rich. Also, working people are feeling more delightful than the retired.
Richard Layard state that there are seven factors affecting people more happier: family relationship, finial situation, work, community and friends, healthy, personal freedom and personal values. It can clearly be seen that most of the factors cannot use money to buy and all of them are built by connection. Layard explained that ‘We need other people, and we need to be needed.’ It is because of the relationship. People only concern about money, they neglect a lot of things, such as feelings, freedom, relationship etc. Since they spend all the time in their work, and think about the ways to become richer. As a result , they ignore lots of things in connection. After than, they cannot feel any needed and they lose the way. However, people have connection, they can talk with their friends and family since each of one in the life have their position that means they are needed.
